I wrote TUCUMCARI to explore the emotional and mental toll that an unexpected death takes on those left behind. A dark comedy, the script takes it’s audience shotgun on a journey through New Mexico to explore how to forgive those who have hurt us, but more importantly, how to forgive ourselves for holding onto the pain of our pasts when life is begging us to let go and live.

 

Levi Stein is dead leaving behind a stash of hidden drug money, his dysfunctional Jewish family, a disgruntled waitress, a desperate business partner, and a dangerous middle man in Tucumcari, NM, where redemption and forgiveness awaits them all.
